Samuel Ndogo is an alumnus of the Bayreuth International Graduate School of African Studies (BIGSAS), University of Bayreuth, Germany, where he graduated in 2013 with a PhD in African Literature. Currently, Ndogo is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Literature, Linguistics, Foreign Languages and Film Studies, School of Arts and Social Sciences, Moi University.

His main research and teaching areas are literary theory, literatures in African languages, arts and aesthetics, performance and theatre arts, translation and cultural studies. Other research interests include autobiographical writings, prison narratives, Diaspora and postcolonial studies. Ndogo has published several book chapters, and journal articles in these areas.

•Since 2011: Member of the African Literature Association (ALA)

•Since 2013: Member of the BIGSAS Alumni Network

•Since 2020: Founding Member and Project partner of the Kenya Chapter of the African Bayreuth International Alumni Network (afriBIAN).
