FUNDED PROJECTS
1.Proposals /collaborations which have attracted funding to the university
- 1. SUPPORT AFRICA PROPOSAL
This project lead to the initial supply of 12 dental chairs and other equipment which enabled the school of Dentistry to start training.
Approximate value = KSHS 10 million (10 MILLION)
- 2. INDIANA UNIVESITY SCHOOL OF DENTISTRY COLLOBORATION
This collaboration resulted in donation of several dental equipment and material to the school. It also resulted in a student and staff exchange programme which was partially funded by Indiana University.
There was also a community outreach programme started under this collaboration which involved AMPATH where a dental clinic was set up in Mosoriot Health centre.
- 3. DENTIST FOR AFRICA PROJECT
This an ongoing collaboration to the tune of KSHS 5 MILLION which has resulted in equipping the Periodontology clinic with dental chairs, x-ray and other equipment
