Born and brought up in a village by a primary school teacher mother and an entrepreneurial father, my career choice was either teaching or entrepreneurship. Teaching was my first choice. Beth has taught at both primary and secondary school. She holds, a Master of Education degree in Sociology of Education, a Bachelor’s degree of Education (Arts) from Moi University and a Primary Teachers’ Certificate. Currently pursuing a doctorate. She has served as a Teaching Practice zonal coordinator for Kisumu/Siaya zone; a member of Monitoring and Evaluation committee of school of education and a course coordinator in the department of Educational Foundations. She has participated in student mentorship programs at the university, the church where she is a member and a founder member of a mentorship program in her rural home. Beth passionate about understanding the role of education in (dis) empowering the rural communities.
