Prof. Joel K. Chepkwony is an accomplished researcher and trainer in the field of strategic Marketing and Supply Chain Management. He has published over 30 articles in peer reviewed and refereed journals. He has also supervised more than 40 postgraduate students among them 7 PhD’s.

He has taught many courses in Marketing, Supply Chain and Strategic management at both undergraduate and postgraduate level in various universities in Kenya. He has previously worked as a Timetable & Exam Coordinator and Programme Coordinator for a period of 5 years.

He is currently the Chairman of Department in the School of Business & Economics, Moi University, a position he has held since 2017.He is also a Senior Lecturer in the department. He has also worked in the oil industry as a Regional marketing manager in the Consumer marketing sector for a period of 7 years.

He is a full member of various professional bodies that include: Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK) and Kenya Institute of Management (KIM). He is also a member of : Certified Institute of Purchasing & Supply, UK (CIPS), Academy for Global Business Advancement (AGBA) and European Centre for Research Training and Development, UK.

He has research interests in various Marketing and Supply chain management areas that include: Customer complaints handling, Brand and Image management, Customer service management, channels building strategies and Consumer Behaviour, Logistics Capabilities, Reverse logistics and Green Procurement. He is currently working on the Impact of Public Private-Partnerships programs on Customer service delivery in Counties.
