Bio

Alice M. Yungungu is a Senior Lecturer in Curriculum Studies in the department of Curriculum, Instruction and Educational Media, School of Education. Holds a PhD in Curriculum Studies (2010);  Masters of philosophy in curriculum development (2005) and  Bachelor of Education Degree (1994) from Moi University. She has authored and co-authored 3 books on curriculum, written 6 chapters on curriculum  and published 20 papers in referral journals. She is an associate editor of a curriculum book. Supervises and examines post-graduate students. Main research interests include curriculum issues, community development, gender education and disability issues. She is a member of MU Disability Mainstreaming Committee and participated in the formulation of the MU Disability Policy. Alice is an intrinsically motivated challenged person who has championed for the rights of persons living with disabilities and mentored persons living with disabilities.
