Dr. Akinyi-Owino is a lecturer in the School of Education, Department of Education Psychology for the last 11 years where she teaches Psychology and Counseling. She also coordinates the teaching of Human Growth and Development, a core course for all Second-year education students. She is a well-travelled seasoned education unionist and holds the following positions: the first ever female vice chair of Universities Academic Staff Union, the first national chair of Universities Academic Staff Union women Caucus and the chair of Women Network of East Africa. She also serves as the Country Liaison for Childhood Education International (CEI), a trained mediator, negotiator and Education Diplomat |
