Research Interests

Dr Sutter has an interest in quantitative methods, Social Statistics, Project Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation, Policy Analysis & Project Management, Criminology & security studies, Conflict & Disaster Management, Comparative Development Strategies, Rural Sociology and Community Development, Gender Issues in Development, Gender and Environmental issues.

He is also interested in carrying out research in areas mentioned above and also teaching and publishing on the same. He won a research project fund in 1997 by Union of African Population Studies (UAPS) to undertake a research entitled ‘Farmers Perception of Population Pressure and Adoption of Agro-forestry in Nakuru District, Kenya. Dr Sutter has taught, examined, supervised and graduated various undergraduate and postgraduate students.
