Dr. Samuel Kipng’etich Tororei is a lecturer at Moi University School of Public Health College of Health Science and was appointed to be a Commissioner at National Land Commission up-to 2019. He also led a taskforce for historical land injustices and chaired a tribunal for historical land injustices at National Land Commission. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental studies (human ecology) Moi University, Kenya; Master of Science in Health Planning and Financing London School of Economics, UK; Bachelor of Education, University of Nairobi, Kenya and a number of professional certificates in various fields.

Since 1982, other positions he held include, Commissioner at Kenya National Commission on Human Rights; Director Kenya society for the blind, lecturer Moi University among others during which he carried out research, consultancy and advocacy on disability rights, emerging health issues and human rights. He represented the civil society and people with disability in the national constitutional conference that developed the 2010 constitution. He also participated in conferences and seminars where his presentations have been published; contributed chapters in books and articles in various journals in the fields of disability and human rights.
