Ruth Kosgei is a Tutorial Fellow in the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources in Moi University. She earned her Masters in. Agricultural Economics & Resource Management in 2011 in Moi University, Kenya. Currently she is doing her  PhD in Agricultural Economics  at Kenyatta University, School of Agriculture and Enterprise Development. She also has a degree in Education Arts (Mathematics and Economics) from Egerton University and taught in high school for fourteen years before joining Moi University. At the school level she is a member of curriculum review committee.
