The intention of Prof. Grace A.K Ettyang is to be a strategic Global Health manager and trainer. Her multidisciplinary research has intentionally been applied to Global Public Health challenges. She is an advocate for equity in access to health care. She has used her research results for promotion of change in health systems policy. Her current research interests are in the areas of child hunger and challenges faced in maintenance of safe food environments.
For over 20 years her training and experience has contributed to the provision of an enabling academic and administrative environment conducive to the training of the health care work force. An early introduction to Problem Based Learning (PBL) and having been the first chairperson of the Moi University Community Based Education and Service (MUCOBES) programme has kept her keen on use of innovative instructional approaches to the training of public health professionals. Her research projects and supervision of post graduate students has generate knowledge that is both valid and vital to the well- being of individuals and communities
