Has over 23 years of work experience which include 1 year as a high school teacher, 1 year as Divisional Agricultural Extension Coordinator in charge of 50 staff, 7 years as District Subject Matter Specialist in charge of Agricultural Advisory services and 13 years as a lecturer in different capacities which include:

Head of Department( 4years), Associate Professor(5 years), Director Academic Programmes(3 years), Acting Principal (3 y ear). In 2007 was awarded the Prestigious Prize for the Best Scientific Presentationat the African Association of Agricultural Economists in Accra, Ghana. Published over 85 papers in peer reviewed journals and conference proceedings. Supervised over 10 PhD and 30 masters students in Agriculture and agribusiness related courses. Served as the President of the African Farm Management Association(2012-2014) and Past President(2014-2016). Has served as Council member of International Farm Management Association representing Eastern Africa( 2013-2018). Has provided leadership in my area of specialization by: mentoring postgraduate students, engaging in fundraising and research, providing consultancy services in Agriculture, Agribusiness and Food Policy in the Southern Africa Development Community and on System of National Accounting in the IGAD region. I also sat on the Academic Board of the Regional Collaborative Masters in Agricultural and Applied Economics for East, Central and Southern Africa (4 years).
