Mary N. Wahome Biography

Prof. Mary Wahome is the Dean School of Arts & Social Sciences (SASS) where she is entrusted with ensuring proper implementation of the curricula in terms of ensuring timely admission and registration of students at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. She is involved in ensuring effective teaching, supervision and examination in addition to graduation. She oversees other activities including research and other core services in the SASS. As an academic staff at the level of Associate Professor, she teaches, supervises and examines students at all levels. She is also engaged in research and community service. She is a member of various professional bodies including DAAD, KSDA, CSAK, UNITRACE, EAGTSN, EAQAN, KUQAN among others and they involve organizing and participation in Workshops, Seminars and Conferences. She has  attended and presented academic papers locally and internationally. She is a trained Internal Quality Auditor in ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015 and have participated in Internal Quality Audits in Moi University since 2009 as a lead auditor. She is a University Graduate Tracer Studies expert having been trained in Germany and participated in UNITRACE training of East African Universities high level personnel in Moi University. She participated in International Deans’ Course, 2018/2019 in Germany, Uganda and Ethiopia.
