Dr. Lionel Koech is a Dental Surgeon and Assistant Lecturer at the School of Dentistry, in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Pathology, Medicine and Radiology. He graduated from the University of Nairobi in 2006 and served in the capacity of Dental Officer at several stations including Kenyatta National Hospital, Kajiado District Hospital and the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) before joining Moi University. He is a member of the Kenya Dental Association, Kenya Medical Association and Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Union. His responsibilities at the university include teaching, both theory and clinical/practical, of all departmental courses; Course coordination of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology (Level 4), Oral Medicine (Level 4), Clinical Pharmacology (Level 2) and Year Coordinator: BDS Level 2. He is also an active member of the MTRH Dept. of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery team where he assists in the clinical management of patients under the guidance of lead consultants.
