Professor Mulongo is a professor of Moi University. He is a double graduate of the University of Nairobi with a BA in Sociology and Geography and MA in Urban and Regional Planning. He holds a PhD in Environmental Planning and Management from Moi University.

Apart from supervising and graduating students at both Masters and PhD level, Professor has also undertaken numerous Consultancy Services and Research in the fields of Planning and Environmental Management.

He is a Fellow member of the Kenya Institute of Planners, Environment Institute of Kenya, Architectural Association of Kenya (Town Planning Chapter) and Friends of Weitz Centre for Development Studies in Israel.
