Joseph Kiprono Lelan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree in Educational Administration from Moi University-Eldoret; Master of Science (Msc) degree in Education Leadership from Drake University- U.S.A; Bachelor of Education (Bed) degree from the University of Nairobi and a Diploma in Education from Siriba Teachers College - Maseno. He is currently a senior lecturer and chair, Department of Educational Management and Policy Studies (2014 to Date). He has acted as Dean, school of Education (October 2014) and is a member of Moi University senate; school of education management team and member, post graduate faculty. He served as part time lecturer in various Universities and Institutions and at Moi University from 2004 till 2008 when he was engaged on full time basis. Since then he has effectively taught courses, supervised and examined a number of postgraduate thesis and projects in various levels to completion. He has served as a course coordinator, timetable and examinations coordinator (2011-2014), teaching practice coordinator (2012-2014) and regular curriculum development and reviews member. He is an experienced education administrator who currently chairs the County Education Board-Uasin Gishu. Prior to joining Moi University he served as an Education Officer at District level (1996-1999) as well as High school Principal (1990-1995) . He is a full member of the Kenya Institute of Management (FKIM), Kenya Association of Education Administration and Management (KAEAM) and Education Management Society of Kenya (EMSK). He is a peer reviewer for some reputable journals.
