Born on 12th November, 1958 in Nyamira County, Kenya. Okioma is an accomplished educationist. He has worked as a Secondary School Teacher, 1984 – 1989, An Education Officer 1989 – 1993 and as a University Lecturer 1994 todate. Currently Okioma is an Associate Professor of Education of Moi University – Kenya.
While in Moi University, Okioma has risen through the ranks, performing different responsibilities as a teaching practice co-ordinator for school of Education, Head of Department and Associate Dean in the school of Education.
Professor Okioma is a member of the African Network of Internalization of Education (ANIE), CERMESA and OSSREA among other professional organizations.
Okioma has been trained both locally and Internationally on Research and Research Management. His research interest is on matters Education Science and Society.
