Dr. Kefa Chepkwony is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Entrepreneurship & Project Management in the School of Business & Economics, Moi University. He has an extensive teaching, research and consultancy experience in social entrepreneurship, project planning & management, strategic management and governance as well as fundraising & resource mobilization. He currently serves as a Member, Moi University Graduate Studies Board, Alumni Executive Board and University Resource Mobilization Committee as well as School Collaboration Coordinator. He was recently appointed as a member of the Joint Technical Committee – Secretariat for National Government & Public Universities on Food & Nutrition Committee after successfully serving as a social economist in the Project Management Team (PMP) for the validation of the Galana-Kulalu Food & Nutrition Security Project. He has served in several capacities within and outside university including being a University Administrator, Departmental Timetabling & Examinations Coordinator, School Time Tabling & Examinations Coordinator, School Privately Sponsored Students Programme Coordinator, and Project Leader & Lead Consultant in Several Consulting Assignments. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Management (Moi University), M.A. in Social Entrepreneurship (Bologna), M. Phil. in Environmental Planning & Management (Moi), PGD in Human Resource Management (Moi) and a B. Sc. Agribusiness & Management (Egerton). He has authored several technical papers including policy briefs.
