Janet Korir has a PhD in Environmental Human Ecology from University of Eldoret and Masters in Environmental Information Systems from Moi University. She also holds Bachelor of education (arts) degree from Kenyatta University and is currently a member of Environmental Institute of Kenya (EIK) and Kenya Metrological Society (KMS). She is a lecturer in the department of Geography and Environmental studies. Prior to joining Moi University, she had taught Geography in various high schools for more than two decades. Apart from teaching, supervision, examination, research and community service, she has also served in the department as coordinator of exams. Her research areas include; climate change and pastoral livelihoods and environmental impacts of land use and land cover changes in an urban area.
