Dr. Hellen Kilelo is a researcher and lecturer at the School of Arts and Social Sciences, Department of Sociology, Psychology and Anthropology, Moi University, Kenya. She holds a PhD in Development Studies from Moi University, an MA in Development Studies (Scholarship awarded by DANIDA) from the University of Nairobi and a BA in Anthropology (First Class Honors) from the University of Nairobi. She has done several intensive short courses on Sustainable Development under the Institute for Global Health and Development. Dr. Kilelo’s interests are in Sustainable Development and Gender in relation to politics, health and climate change. She has published in peer reviewed journals. She has also been involved in carrying out research in Kenya, Burkina Faso and is currently doing her research in Nigeria. In addition, she has been a member of Africa Multiple Pole of Excellence, Universite Joseph Ki-Zerbo, Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Currently, she is on a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Institute of African and Diaspora Studies, at the University of Lagos, Nigeria.
