I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Chemistry from Egerton University, Njoro, Kenya (1999). I hold a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Molecular Biosciences and Bioengineering from the University of Hawaii, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA (2007). I am currently a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Medical Biochemistry. Prior to taking up my current role (2018), I served as the Postgraduate Coordinator for my department where we founded the MSc in Medical Biochemistry Program. My teaching interests are mainly in basic Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I also supervise and mentor both undergraduate and graduate students from various programs within Moi University and beyond.
