I am a specialist in public health with experience in training and strengthening the capacity of
health systems and services. I have a special interest in engaging in collaborative and
multidisciplinary approaches to improving health outcomes through research, policy, and
innovation.
My academic qualifications comprise a PhD in Gender and Health (Australia); Masters's training
in International Health (USA), in addition to certification in various courses including Gender
and Infectious Disease (USAID), Health Economics and Impact Evaluation (World Bank),
Virtual Health Leadership and Management (USAID) and Research Ethics (Moi University).
I have worked in the academic field for over fifteen years as head of the department, lecturer,
supervisor, and researcher in the field of health policy and management.
I have undertaken and published research in areas of maternal and child health, health
economics, gender and health, health systems research, disaster risk reduction, food security and
climate change.
