Biography

Mr Furaha teaches Linguistics at Moi University and has over ten years of university teaching, examination and research experience. His area of specialization is phonetics and phonology with a bias towards phonological variation in Second Language varieties of English. He is also interested in phonological variation in Bantu languages, an area of research in his ongoing PhD work. He is currently the Quality Assurance point-person of the Department of Literature, Linguistics, Foreign languages and Film Studies. He is also a founder member of the Language Association of Eastern Africa (LAEA) and the Multilingual Education Network of Eastern Africa (MLEN).
