Biography


David Menjo has been a long serving career educationist and university administrator. His career in teaching began way back in the 1980s after graduation from the University of Nairobi. The first main teaching assignment started at Kapsabet High School in Nandi County, before taking other teaching pursuits and training of diploma teachers at the defunct Moi Science Teachers College and current Kagumo Teachers College.

Sometime in the 1990s, he took up a career in administration with Moi University, where he was able to rise up the ranks of administration up to the level of Registrar,  after which at the end of the contract period, took up a teaching position at the School of Education at Moi University.

During his long career in teaching and administration, he has taught and mentored many young people who have ended up in successful careers. To his credit, he has produced teachers, lecturers, doctors, politicians, administrators….. just to name but a few. He has published several papers in reputable journals.

Finally, towards the end of his tenure as an administrator, he steered a University Public Private Partnership (PPP) endeavour which was intended to secure a 15000 No. capacity student hostels for Moi University which reached the point of selecting bidders to come and put up the hostels.
