BIOGRAPHY

A former Dean of the School of Information Sciences, Moi University. He has extensive university teaching and research experience in both public and private universities in Kenya. He is passionate about promoting access to and use of information. Together with other information professionals in the country he has worked extensively to promote and stimulate information use in Kenya starting with his journal article published in 1995 titled “Stimulating the use of information in Kenya” which has been widely cited. Served for one year as a member of the Project Steering Committee (PSC) for KNLS/CARNEGIE Corporation Study to Revitalize Public Libraries in Kenya. He served as a member of the Working Group on Books and Learning Materials of the Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA). He has served as a corresponding member of the Africa Region for the International Federation of Library Association (IFLA). He is a member of the UK Based Literat Club of International authors in the field of Information Management.
