Cleophas Oyengo Ndaga, born in 1963, attended Pumwani Primary and Starehe Boys Centre before studying at Kenya Polytechnic, where he earned a Diploma and Higher Diploma in Construction (1982–1989) and received the Best Student Award from President Moi. In 1995, he was awarded a scholarship to study for a Master’s in Engineering Geology at ITC Netherlands, completing his degree in 1997. He returned to Kenya, teaching at Kenya Polytechnic until 2002, when he moved to Moi University. Between 2015 and 2016, he attended Continuous Professional Development courses at Newcastle University four times.
