Dr. Carol Munini Munyao

Dr. Carol Munini is a Lecturer and an Environmental Research Scientist in the Department of Environmental Health and Disaster Risk Management, School of Public Health, Moi University. Dr. Munini has vast knowledge in research, university teaching and community outreach activities. Prior to joining university, Dr. Munini worked with Development and research organizations. She was a PhD research fellow at ICRAF. She also worked for GIZ as a programme officer in Energizing development Kenya programme where she was in charge of lower Eastern region, gaining exposure to rural development, community environmental conservation projects, working with and creating collaborative relationships between government, private sector, NGOs and community based organizations. Dr. Munini is a Director in Green Planet Initiative 2050; An NGO involved in conservation of water catchment towers and ecosystems within Kenya. Her key expertise areas are environmental health, forestry related issues and climate change and renewable energy with keen interest on Bioenergy.
