Research Interests

I focus in the interdisciplinary study of the nexus of development studies and politics- an area, I examine mostly using Discursive Institutional Theory and Social Constructivism Theory generally. With this, I have curved for myself a niche in the area of Development Management and politics of development that transcends both domestic and international arena. The following are my recent main research projects.

2016-2019: a study on “The politics of identity within the Sabaot community in Kenya.” Funded by the Dutch Government through the ISS of Erasmus University, the Hague.

2021- To date: a study on “The Performative politics, regional integration and multilateralism in the East African community (EAC). Funded by the Africa Multiple cluster Centre of Excellence in Bayreuth, Germany. I am part of the Affiliation Research Section in Moi University.
