About Me

I am an associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering specializing in Thermo-Fluid Systems. I hold a PhD degree and an MSc (Eng.) degree in Engineering from University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg (South Africa), and a BTech, First Class honours degree in Production Engineering from Moi University. I have published widely in the area of Energy, Mineral Processing and my work is widely cited. My current h-index and i10-index are 9 and 11, respectively. I have attended various short /Specialized Courses in energy management, computational modelling, outcome based curriculum design for institutions of higher learning and project management among others. I have reviewed papers for several international journals, and have examined several postgraduate dissertations and theses from various universities in Kenya and the Eastern Africa region. I have served as an External Examiner at University of Rwanda and Technical University of Kenya in Mechanical Engineering. I have more than 5 years of experience in engineering consultancy works. I am currently involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate engineering and supervision of research projects.
