I am a purpose-driven academic and mentor dedicated to transforming lives by empowering students and colleagues to realize their full potential and become catalysts for meaningful change. With strong expertise in strategic tourism development and management, I bring a distinctive blend of academic leadership, professional insight, and human-centred mentorship to my work. My experience enables me to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students effectively, while also conducting high-quality research both independently and collaboratively. My scholarly and professional contributions are reflected in publications and other research outputs across Tourism Management and related interdisciplinary fields, including Agriculture and Geoscience. My commitment to excellence in teaching, research, student mentorship, and continuous professional growth has positioned me as an active contributor within respected professional and academic networks, including the Kenya Institute of Management, Tourism Professional Association, and ATLAS Africa. This commitment has also helped me secure prestigious grants and scholarship opportunities, including support from the Academy of Global Governance, the Global Governance Programme, the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute, and the Short-Term Chinese Scholarship. One of the most meaningful outcomes of these opportunities has been my role in introducing Chinese Language as an option for students in the School of Tourism, Hospitality and Events Management—an initiative that reflects my passion for expanding global perspectives and creating transformative learning opportunities. |
