Research Interests:

Peter Simatei’s research focuses on postcolonial studies, diaspora and migration, African cinema, and popular culture. His work particularly examines the intersections between East African and Indian diaspora literatures, with an emphasis on how migration and diasporic experiences shape cultural identities, gender relations, and national narratives.
