BIOGRAPHY

Dr Paul Abiero Opondo, Former HoD,  is member of History and Political Science at Moi University holds a BEd degree (1991) and M.Phil. degree (1997) from Moi University. He has a PhD from UNISA Pretoria, South-Africa (2012). He has been a lecturer in KIE in Kigali Rwanda (2001-2006), a vising AMAS Lecturer at Edurado Mondlane University in Maputo Mozambique (2019), visiting Lecturer, University of Lagos (2023). His publications include: “Fisheries as Heritage: Indigenous Methods of Fishing and Conservation among the Luo Fishers of Lake Victoria” in Conservation of Natural and Cultural Heritage in Kenya, London: 2016, Ethnic Politics and Post-Ethnic Violence in Kenya” in African Journal of History and Culture.
