Mosol Kandagor is an Associate Professor of Kiswahili at Moi University, Kenya. He holds a PhD (Moi University) and MA (University of Nairobi)-in Kiswahili Studies. He has an extensive academic record, with over 80 journal articles, 40 book chapters, 15 edited books and 3 books. He has supervised more than 60 postgraduate students and examined over 100 theses. His research focuses on Kiswahili, communication, translation, Indigenous Knowledge and language use in social media. He has held key leadership roles, including Head of Department and Associate Dean. A former national chair of CHAKITA, he is actively involved in research, consultancy, publishing, and translation projects both locally and internationally. He was among translation experts involved in the translation of Parliamentary Standing Orders of the National Assembly in Kenya. He is also an Editor-in Chief (2 Journals) and Associate Editor (1 Journal) of Journal of Kiswahili and Other African Languages, Jarida la CHAKAMA and Mwanga wa Lugha respectively.
