Dr. Bramwel Matui researches the intersection of identity politics with development, Security, public administration, and international relations. He is currently the Chair of the Department of History, Political Science & Public Administration. Before joining Academia, Dr Matui served in the Kenyan Public Service, first as a Deputy District Land Adjudication/Settlement officer(1999-2007), in which he resolved and mediated hundreds of land disputes. The notable one is the Ilubi intra- group ranch dispute in Narok County that had festered for More than ten years; his mediation efforts in 2006 helped to resolve the dispute, and the ranch owners were able to dissolve the group ranch amicably and get individual title deeds. Secondly, he was the first District Youth & Sports Officer in East Pokot District(2007-2009); he laid the foundation for this Youth Department, whose role was to mainstream youth agenda in Development.
