Prof Chumba’s research interests are in Management of learning institutions and Curriculum matters with bias in quantitative research.

Through Association for the Development of Education in Africa, Prof Chumba was contracted as a consultant based in Kenya by African Development Bank to carry out a comparative study on the status of schoolteachers’ preparation & teachers’ career path for: pre-primary, primary & secondary schools: the case of Rwanda, Kenya & Botswana.
