I am committed to transforming lives, mentoring students and colleagues to reach their full potential as well as become the change they want to be. Through my strong Knowledge in Strategic tourism development and management, this enables me to teach and supervise academic work by undergraduate and postgraduate students, conduct high quality research both individually and collaboratively, as reflected in authorship of publications and other research outputs,  in the areas of Tourism Management and related field like Agriculture and geo science.

My commitment to quality teaching, academic research, student mentorship and continuous personal professional development has allowed me to be part of professional bodies which include; Kenya Institute of Management, Academy of Management, Tourism Professional Association, Ecotourism Society, ATLAS Africa, as well as attract grants (Academy of Global Governance, Global Governance Programme, Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies, European University Institute) and scholarship (Short term Chinese Scholarship-China)- This provided me the opportunity to start Chinese Language as an option for students in the School of Tourism, Hospitality and Events Management
