Biography

Beatrice Githaka is a committed lecturer in  Records, Archives and Information Management,  in the Department of Library, Records Management and Information Studies in the School of Information Sciences. Previously worked at Kenya National Archives and Documentation Service 1979- 1993. B. Githaka is a member of the Kenya Association of Records Managers and Archivists(KARMA), Eastern and Southern African Regional Branch of the International Council on Archives (ESARBICA) and Association of African Women for Research and Development(AAWORD). In the 1990s, Githaka was an acting head of the defunct Department of Archives and a member of  Senate. For over 20 years, Githaka has been taught undergraduate and postgraduate students in IS, Supervision of projects; developing and implementing undergraduate and postgraduate Carricula for Moi University, Kenya Institute of Education and Tanzania Public Service Training College.
