Biography


Dr. Priscah Mosol is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Nursing Education, Leadership Management and Research in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Moi University. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) in Medical Education from Moi University, Master of Science in Nursing (MScN) in Maternal and  Neonatal Health from Moi University and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Eastern Africa Baraton. She is a member of the Nursing Council of Kenya, STTI chapter of Tau Lambda Chapter at Large professional body for nurses. Dr. Priscah is the current chairperson for curriculum implementation and Evaluation in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Moi University. She was also involved in validation of Competency Based curricula for health Professions education for North Coast Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) and is also involved in review of curricula for the Nursing Council of Kenya and a reviewer in the Kenya Journal of Nursing and Midwifery. She served as a lead coordinator and trainer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, NEPAD/ APRM and UNFPA Collaboration and a research coordinator in the WHO Clinical Trial on Implementing Simpler Regiments for Treatment of Neonatal Sepsis at Community level (Moi University, AMPATH) and AMPATH Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Disease Centre of Excellence (COE). She has over 18 publications in refereed Journals and 3 book chapters. She has supervised over 5 post-graduate students to completion. Her research interests are:- Continuing Professional Development(CPD) for nurses and Midwives, PMTCT Health Professions Education and  post-natal care
