Biography

Dr. Francis Barasa is a Kenyan citizen and currently works as a senior lecturer at Moi University in the Department of Sociology, Psychology and Anthropology. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Arts degree in Sociology from Moi University, Eldoret Kenya and a First Class Honors Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nairobi. He also holds a Certificate in Social Work from the Kenya Institute of Administration –Lower Kabete, Nairobi.

Francis has wide experience in private, public, Non-Governmental Organizations and the University administration. He is the immediate past Chairman of the department of Sociology and Psychology at Moi University having risen to that position from the position of Departmental Attachment Coordinator and the Schools of Arts and Social Science Academic advisor for PSSP students at West Campus. He is currently engaged in active teaching, mentoring of students and consultancy on diverse issues of social life.
