Dr. Kiptiemoi Korir Kiprono is a lecturer of Physics at the department of Mathematics, Physics, and computing, Moi University where he teaches solid state physics, material science, and nano-science. He is a member of material research society of Kenya (MRSK) and ASESMA network. Korir has been involved in several grant writing and project implementation for the following projects: ACEII-PTRE, PTREIC, and MIRET. Additionally, he earned PhD scholarship from Marie-Curie – Initial Training Network (Italy), and Msc research grant from Nacosti, Kenya, and undergraduate scholarship from government of Kenya. He has been a member of several committee within the University, such as, GESREC, departmental curriculum review and has been a dean of school of science, Alupe University College – a constituent college of Moi University. Korir has published in refereed journals, supervised and supervises several post graduate students’ projects and he is a frequent reviewer of several journal such as intermetallics, Materials Chemistry and Physics, and Physica Scripta.
