About Me

Nicholas Kipkurui Kiget is a Lecturer of Information Technology in the School of Information Sciences at Moi University, Kenya. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer and Statistics in Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology; Master of Science in Information Technology at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology; and his PHD in Information Technology from Kibabii University. In his Thesis, he came up with Grid Computing Adoptability Model for Collaborative Research. He is a professional teacher having done Post Graduate Diploma in Education of Kenyatta University. He has experience in teaching having taught at Ol’lessos T.T.I, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology and now at Moi University. He has also worked as Network and Systems Administrator at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. He participated in setting up of the Agri-business incubator in Nandi County and has given a number of presentations on Agribusiness Technologies and ICT as an enabler for sustainable development focusing on the four big agenda of the government of Kenya. He has CCNA and MCP certifications and is a trained Tutor of IT Essentials and CCNA. Has wide knowledge on ICT policy and strategic plans having done an online Diplo Course on ICT policies and strategic plans. Kiget has a number of refereed publications in ICT.
