Biography (About Me)

Simon Njoroge Mburu is a Civil Engineer, specialized in Public (Environmental) Health Engineering with 16 years of University teaching in the area of water, sanitation and housing. He has been involved in preparing Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit studies and reports, design and implementation of various civil engineering projects. He is a certified NEMA Lead Expert, Member of Environment Institute of Kenya, Institution of Engineers of Kenya, Engineers Board of Kenya and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK). He is also involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in the School of Public Health and assist the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering. He supervises postgraduate research. He is an external examiner of various Universities in Kenya and outside, Faculty Expertise One Health Central and East Africa (OHCEA), Faculty Lead, One Health Innovations club of Moi university and Committee Member of Moi University Environmental Sustainability. He is also active in environmental conservation through planting of indigenous and exotic trees.
