Dr. Peter W. Saula is a senior lecturer at Moi University and a specialist paediatric surgeon at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, Eldoret, Kenya. He received his MBchB degree from Moi University (Kenya) in 1998, a Master of Medicine degree in General Surgery from the University of Nairobi (Kenya) in 2006, a Master of Medicine degree in Paediatric Surgery from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa) in 2013, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Public Health from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (Kenya) in 2021.

Dr. Saula had been working at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, where he rose from the position of a medical officer to that of a senior specialist in paediatric surgery. He joined Moi University in 2014 as lecturer in the Department of Surgery and Anaesthesiology, and rose to position of a senior lecturer in 2021. He is a child-health enthusiast and recently collaborated with Dr. Jackie Tate and others in a continent-wide research that evaluated the incidence of intussusception following introduction of monovalent rotavirus vaccination in Africa.

He is a registered medical practitioner with the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board, and a recognized medical specialist in General Surgery and Paediatric Surgery. He is also a member the Bioethics Society of Kenya.
