Biography

Elias K. Ng’etich is a lecturer at Moi University, School of Arts and Social Science, department of Philosophy, Religion and Theology. He has been involved teaching at university level for the for the last 13 years. He has served in the recent past as dean of theology at Africa Theological Seminary in Kitale, director of Field Education at Scott Christian University in Machakos and as an ordained minister of Africa Inland Church (AIC) Kenya, for the last 16 years. His academic qualification include BA (Theology) from Scott Christian University in Kenya, M.Phil. (Religious Studies) Moi University in Kenya, MA (Sociology-ongoing) University of Nairobi, and PhD (Sociology of Religion) from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. His research and academic trajectory focus on the intersection of religion, development, politics, and society in Africa from an empirical and multidisciplinary slant.
