Prof. Isaac Njuguna Kimengi is a Professor in Sociology of Education in the Department of Educational Foundations, School of Education and Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics, Research and Extension at Moi University. He was a high school teacher of Mathematics and Chemistry. He started university teaching in 1986 at Kenyatta University and later moved to Moi University in 1987 as Assistant Lecturer. He has published extensively in International refereed journals, co-authored one book and authored one book used at University. He has Supervised and examined  many Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy theses and Research Projects. Prof. Kimengi has served in various senior positions; Head Mathematics Department, Head guidance and counselling  (Kanuga High School), Career Master (Mangu High School), Head, Department of Educational Foundations; Head, Teaching Practice Unit; Dean, School of Education; Director, Academic Programmes,  Ag. Principal at Odera Akango College Campus and Founder Coordinator Mama Ngina Kenyatta University College. He has served as an external examiner for University of Nairobi and University of Eastern Africa, Baraton. Director, Jomo Kenyatta Foundation. Acted, Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics, Research and Extension. Current serving  Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics, Research and Extension.
