He is an Assistant Lecturer of Music Education in the Department of Curriculum instruction and educational media in the school of education Moi University Eldoret.

He holds a Master of Music Degree from Kenyatta University.

He is an author and music composer with special focus on ethno-musicology and Music education.

He has authored various journals and book chapters in a variety of journals amongst them:

"Fuging African Songs"; A focus on luhya Music.

"Emerging issues regarding African traditional dance and African Contemporary dance"; A discourse on current theory and practice of African dance criticism and choreography and a chapter in "Emerging solutions of musical Arts Education in Africa".

He is a trainer and Adjudicator for the Kenya National Music and Drama Festival by the Ministry of Education and has worn many awards in the past Festivals.
